James Julian Villa is a multi-instrumentalist producer who has made a name for himself by producing and co-writing albums for artists based in the Pacific Northwest.
 
Originally based in Canada, James graduated Selkirk’s “Contemporary Music & Technology Program” with the Fred Sharett Award, gaining tools and knowledge through his education and experiences with successful touring acts in multiple genres. 
 
After making his home base in Portland Oregon, James lead an 8 piece funk band as the eccentric icon known as the “Brizzleman”, until he found his calling in the studio writing and recording for other artists.
 
James uses his extensive background in music production to provide polished and radio quality mixes with dynamics, layers and ear candies .
His multi-instrumentalist skills and touring experience has given him the freedom to be a one stop shop for bands and artists of many genres, including pop, folk, hip-hop, rock and electronic. 
 
James is proficient on guitar, bass, piano, synthesizer, percussion, midi, background vocals and has a network of session musicians to fill any role needed in the studio.
